New Reality Series To Be Filmed in Shreveport

A new local reality tv series is all about the everyday woman. Producers say the new show, "Oh No She Didn't", will empower women to look their best. Producers will be looking for women who are in need of makeovers. The women will be sent to local salons to get new hairstyles and makeup. Those candidates will also be dressed by local boutiques. Shooting for the new show begins August first, it will air in January.

Tonight at artspace in Shreveport, the Shreveport Regional Arts Council and the Bossier Arts Council honored the recipients of the 2008 Bossier and Shreveport regrants, the LA DAF Grants, and the SRAC artist' fellowship awards. In attendance were Mayor Lo Walker and a representative from Mayor Glover's office, along with many of the arts organizations around Shreveport and Bossier.

Among the recipients, Amber Hanel and Stephanie Sperry with Sculpted Entertainment received funding for their educational division. It covers fifteen of their performances in the Bossier Parish elementary and middle schools. The grant money will also assist them in producing the first annual NW La playwriting festival that will be held on March 27, and March 28, of 2009 at the Bossier Arts Center.  Sculpted Entertainment's newest edition to the company is "Sculpted Mysteries". Their professional actors and writers customize live interactive comedy entertainment available for private and corporate parties. For more information check out their website at

A verity of genres of arts, from dancing, to visual arts, to theatre, and opera attended tonight's event. Over hundreds of thousands of dollars was awarded in grants to help build the arts in Shreveport and Bossier.
